outfit of the day: 01.26.2011

hello! pairing orange and blue again on wednesday. this time, both colors are more amplified.

the skirt is the fluttering pencil skirt from eva franco. i purchased at anthropologie. anthropologie also had a similar skirt called the midnight squall. the same skirt from other retailers was called the toulsa blue wool pencil skirt. it is circa 2009-2010.

land of nod: whoopsie daisy chandelier

this pretty little vintage inspired number has been on my wish list for awhile. hoping a new place would have a spot for a chandelier. (also looking forward to living with more than just lamp light...)
whoopsie daisy chandelier from land of nod.

there is no shame in shopping at a children's furniture store for fun and quirky items for the home. i think it would look fabulous over my dining room table and vintage chippy painted chairs.

outfit of the day: 01.25.2011

hello! man, i can't believe it's only tuesday. ever have those days where time goes by so slowly, yet you still have so much to do? today was like that. at least i was comfortale and cozy!

i picked up the scarf for about $6 by the time all the discounts were taken. i love love love it. the shirt is from j.crew spring 2007. i purchased it on super sale and wore the heck out of it in college. i haven't worn it in forever, but it is has that million times washed feeling (because, well, it has been.) this was my first time tucking it in (i wore it with a long tank top, leggings and uggs in college. let's be honest. i wore a long tank top, leggings and uggs with everything in college.)

anyway, i think it works well tucked in because of the extra defined waist of the skirt. this shopping the closet thing is working.

and... can someone also let me know that i have 50 million other pairs of shoes beyond these martingale boots?! i am getting to be in shoe rut central. but they are so comfortable and cute and go with everything. <sigh>
