yep. i got some new little booties. (and only $25!) super comfortable, so easy to wear with jeans or dresses. i ended up sizing up to a 7.5 instead of my usual 6.5/7 for boots.

little red bicycles

yep. consider me in love with this darling skirt from target. for sizing, i went with a medium.

for summer, it would be cute with just a basic white tee and sandals. until then, here is how i plan to make it work:

option 1:
target xhilaration pleated skirt, option #1

option 2:
target xhilaration pleated skirt, option #2

option 3:

option 4:

lastly, i loved the idea of pairing with a chambray shirt, compliments of chocolucy on polyvore:

apparel find: vintage inspired target coat

i was browsing at target and had to share this fabulous find. the merona faux-fur collar coat was amazing. i am wearing the small. runs true to size for merona (that brand has a more generous cut).

though i love a good faux-fur collar, it is completely detachable. the coat has a definite vintage feeling. at $70, it feels like a steal. i wasn't 100% loving the buttons, but it would be an easy switcheroo.

happy hunting!

you know you had a good meal when you take a picture of it... and then you can still recall how tasty it was a month later. a turkey cheeseburger and cup of french onion soup. delicious.

i really like this dress.

i purchased from target, on clearance, at least 4 years ago. the sweetheart neckline is sewn into the dress - so i get all the flattering affects and dress has sleeves. amazing. i also like that it is black and brown. makes it pair with virtually any color. bravo target. i only wish i had purchased a backup.

target find: xhilaration zipper front dress

spotted this fabulous zipper front dress at target this weekend.

runs true to xhilaration (juniors) sizing. i went with a large for additional length and room to zip over the bust.
my favorite is the cityscape. happy hunting!

back to (school)

i secretly love the "back to school" time of year. i think it stems from my love of paper shops, letterpress, and the like. and though i am no longer in school, i still love getting a fresh set of notebooks and pencils for my desk at work and home.

some of my favorites are from the brand greenroom eco. they are made from recycled materials (!) and have great modern/girly prints. usually i can find them at target in the supplies section. (unfortunately, they are not sold online, but you can search "greenroom" on their website and see a wide selection.)

so naturally i was excited on my last trip to target to find a whole display in the back to school section:

eeeek! amazing! the pairs of animals are adorable. i also love the typography. the prints are on pencils, pencil boxes, composition notebooks, folders, the whole lot. love. love. love. how cute for a child, but perfect for an adult too? totally enough sophistication. yay back to school!

i loved the whimsical prints so much, i decided to take on a bit of a craft project with them too! (don't worry. anyone can do this type of craft.) i thought they would be perfect as art in my new studio bedroom space. i took the notebooks to my local copy store and i made some enlarged color copies.

then i took basic frames and inserted the prints as "art." ta-da! couldn't be easier.
happy shopping!
