what to wear with floral pants?

hello there!

just thought i would share some styling options for floral pants. with printed and patterned bottoms popping up all over the place, what better time to style! i decided to use the anthropologie floral sateen slims. i absolutely love this floral pattern! (can you tell i have a serious crush?)

floral sateen slims

first up, i think a chambray shirt is the easiest option to wear with any pattern. the washed out color won't compete with the floral and this top will work with numerous other options in the wardrobe.

anthropologie floral sateen slims, option #1

Slim fit pants
$118 - anthropologie.com

J crew
$78 - jcrew.com

J.Crew j crew shoes
$130 - jcrew.com

J Crew j crew jewelry
$118 - jcrew.com

for work, i would layer on a cute grey blazer and kitten heels:

Peter pan collar shirt

Ruffle top
$25 - target.com

Scotch Soda leather blazer
€48 - scotch-soda.com

Sateen pants

if you are a bit more daring, print mixing is always a fun option. because the floral is bigger in scale, i would stick to a smaller scale print on top. both versions of this button down from anthropologie would be cute:

anthropologie blooming whin shift dress fitting review

hello!

back in march i took a trip to miami and popped into anthropologie (of course). i tried on the blooming whin shift from anthropologie and loved the dramatic shape.

i did not love the price. so i waited patiently until today - when it popped over to the sale section. hooray! this move also prompted me to gear and post a review!

i found it ran pretty true to size (if not a tad big). I am wearing a 6.

the back is definitely different, but i think it would be fun to wear to a summer wedding, or out on the town.  it is hard to capture in still photos, but it is very pretty when moving around. i also loved the hand-drawn looking pattern.

i am working on some styling options and hope to share later, but would love to know... how would you style this one?

until next time,
