anthropologie foundational pencil skirt fitting review and styling options

hi again. i tried on the foundational pencil skirt and had to share the review (of course you got a little preview in the last post).

i couldn't have been happier. i love a good pencil skirt and the bright raspberry color of this one did not dissapoint. (the mossy green is also quite nice...)

this skirt runs one to two sizes big compared to some of the other pencil skirt i own from anthropologie. i am wearing a 6.

i actually really liked it with the loosened shelby blouse that i had on. below is the polyvore breakdown with a shoe switcheroo:

anthropologie foundational pencil skirt, option #1

Ruffle top
$40 - anthropologie.com

Knee length pencil skirt
$98 - anthropologie.com

Wooden heels
$168 - anthropologie.com

Belt
$38 - anthropologie.com

Slate Saddlebag
$130 - anthropologie.com

i also think the skirt would work with the cabomba blouse i picked up last week:
anthropologie cabomba blouse, option #1

Sheer top
$98 - anthropologie.com

Knee length pencil skirt
$98 - anthropologie.com

Steve Madden suede leather shoes
$100 - nordstrom.com

Monica Vinader disc jewelry
$330 - net-a-porter.com

Belt
$38 - anthropologie.com

last up, i tried the skirt with the walled city blouse. it sold out in most sizes online, but my store had a full size run. because of how flowy the top is, i went with an extra small.

i paired it with the rippled ribbon belt in blue. i tried a few different belts on and this rippled ribbon the winner for me, but i think a wider or skinnier could work well with jeans.

and of course, here is the polyvore of this outfit (with a shoe substitution).
anthropologie foundational pencil skirt, option #2

Button front skirt
$98 - anthropologie.com

Steve Madden wedge shoes

until next time,
S
