i am wearing a 29, which fit perfectly on the legs and a little tight in the waist. the 30s fit a little looser in the waist, but were a little too loose on the hips. for reference, i am usually a 28-29 in AG ankle crops and took a 30 in the floral citizens. i went with the 29, thinking they would most likely stretch out a little in the waist.

i liked how they fit. the "crop" length was perfect for my 5'4 self. i also have trouble resisting a floral print.
because they are tonal, i think you could pair them as you would most jeans. i like the idea of mixing with chambray shirt, for denim head to toe:
or using the floral motif to take menswear pieces to a feminine place:
