anthropologie puckered plaid trench fitting review

oh, anthropologie. why must you make such adorable coats?! just when i thought i could safely escape a trench this season... this little number was hanging around when i popped in. so of course i had to try it on.

 

as per what seems to be the trend, there was only a 4. it must have been a return. so clearly, i need a 6 or an 8 to stop the button pulling madness, but isn't it lovely? it has such a flattering cut to my hourglass shape and the collar isn't nearly as edwardian as it looked in the model shot.

here is a close-up of the fabric. much prettier in person than i anticipated.

so now the dilemma: do i get this puckered plaid trench or the clinton trench in navy? or both? oh! so tricky!
