i ended up purchasing this dress in a size 4. i don't usually look that great in shift style dresses (i need some waist emphasis), so i found that by going down a couple sizes the dress was less blousy and looked better. unfortunately, that meant that it was quite short. to compensate i either wear this with skinny jeans or a slip. today, i went with this lovely navy garland slip by eloise (still available on the anthropologie european website). it works as a slip or as a nightie. highly recommend!
