today i seem to be having some great shopping karma. first, i finally found some bar stools that might just be the ones, courtsey of the porch & atelier. i haven't purchased yet, but i love the look of them and they are on my wish list!
(p.s. they are reproduction chippy, similar to the trattoria stools from ballard designs. i love the feminine legs on these ones and the shop can special order them for me. perfection!)
then, i stopped at a gathering of friends antique market event and found the perfect kitchen cabinet. it was in that seafoam minty green that i love. for some reason i didn't snap any pictures - so a bit of a teaser on that one. but it will be delivered to my new apartment either saturday or sunday and take some pictures then. i can't wait to use it to store and display all my pretty vintage dinnerware.
and if it couldn't get any better... i scanned craigslist this evening just to see if anyone had listed a daybed and mattress for a good price before i purchase the meldal in black-brown from ikea and paint it (i check craiglist pracitcally everyday hoping for a miracle)... and the grey-blue tromnes daybed was for sale! yayayayay! just when i thought it was hopeless to find. i contacted the seller and will go visit/pickup (hopefully!) this friday night. i am so excited! (added perk - it comes with the mattress and the daybed support slats - all for way cheaper than the original retail. sometimes craigslist is just so amazing.)
