outfit of the day: 04.02.2011

hello! i found a lonely miss swiss corset dress from anthropologie on the sale rack in my size a few weeks ago and it just had to come home with me! i decided to wear it out and about on saturday. my camera was going crazy with the print, so sorry ahead of time about the blur!
 

i love the details on the skirt of this dress. so pretty and vintage. the dress fits true to size (i am wearing an 8 and didn't have any fit issues). i added a belt i picked up at j.crew on super sale ($15!) it still is available on the website, but it looks like it still is full price. i think it works perfectly with the dress and can't wait to wear it with some of my other dresses too!

    kristin - the lace is so pretty in person. i love wearing tees under my strapless dresses. it makes them totally wearable without worry.

    This is so cute, and I just ordered this dress on Friday! I hope it fits...the reviews were kind of mixed so I ordered a size up. I love how you wore the tee under it.

    The tee under this dress really makes it more wearable for this in between weather. I always grab a cardigan and forget to try things under my strapless items.

    lc - ooh! i can't wait to see it on you. sometimes i wonder about the reviews. they aren't always as helpful as reviews on blogs, you know? especially when some say true to size, some say size up, etc.

    fallon - i know! unfortunately, i can NEVER find strapless undergarments that work, i got tired of always trying to cover up the details on the bodice of strapless dresses with a cardi, so a tee is my new go-to. :) plus, no worries of the top falling down a bit and still being exposed (sometimes that happens on me with a cardi!)

    you made me order this dress. i saw it on my wishlist and not online. i was lucky they still had it in my size. i'm totally going to try it with the t-shirt underneath. love the belt too. i might have a belt that will work.
