outfit of the day: 9.13.10

my outfit for today is a refresh of last night's - just changed up the shoes and blazer and presto! work ready.

this blazer is the "schoolboy blazer" from anthropologie circa 2009. this one was not available in stores last fall - and i am so glad i took the risk in ordering. i love that the polka dot lining peeks out over the cuffs. i find that it is neutral enough to wear with many different looks, but still has enough special details (puff sleeves, polka dots, etc.) so it doesn't feel boring. below is the item breakdown:

shoes are the merona reta t-straps pumps from target. surprisingly comfortable and durable. they were from last year in the store, but it looks like they added more stock online, available here . they come in teal, grey, ruby, black, and now navy at $33 - why not stock up?

and because my outfit today was not really a new outfit - i'll include a summer styling of the marine mural dress now on sale at anthropologie. if you haven't tried this one, i would definitely recommend. i love the fit. i think it fit true to size, i am wearing a size 8. though the dress looks great without a belt, i wanted to try one and see. i love how the belt brings out all the colors in the bottom of the skirt.
