vintage embroidered pillowcases

i love vintage embroidery, especially on pillowcases. i am always on the lookout for unique designs, embroidery colors that match my decor, and any with "girly" feeling.

the above example, from etsy seller homeandjoyhome, has been sold. but might be one of my all time favorites.

some are a little quirky, like the below kitten pillowcases, from etsy seller vintagekeepsakes :

or what about this little champ from pumpkintruck?

the next pattern is so darling. shopping around, i have actually found it a couple of times:
go here from ricracandbuttons

or here:

go here from floraandflossies

you can often find them at antique stores or flea markets sell them. but as you can see from above, etsy has a great selection. prices usually range from $10-30 a pair, but occasionally you can get a good deal! the best part is you can use them for more than just pillowcases. create an apron or even a child's dress. so fun!

until next time,
S
