ah, the curse of the well-fitted shirtdress. this one has about the same cut of the reed shirtdress from last year, but this time i went with a 6. of course after trying it on, it came home with me. i think the corduroy is a nice update - and bonus, it is a little longer than the reed shirtdress, so maybe easier to wear without tights? i plan to wear it this weekend and will post some photos, until then - enjoy these stylings of it:
this first one is a classic look, perfect for fall:
next up is from a mannequin inspiration in the store. they showcased this henley layered underneath, with the sleeves rolled up over the corduroy sleeves. it looked darling:

this next look dresses up the dress. i just picked up this colorway of the strawberry lemonade necklace when i purchased the refined cord dress and think they look good together. i love that punch of orange it adds; it will be the perfect touch with tons of basics during fall/winter. what do you think about the foxy tights? at anthropologie there was also grey with an allover of little ponies. only concern: the ponies could turn into clydesdales when stretched out. i'll have to try on and report back, but i love the idea!
