for the past 4 years, i have lived in 4 places (3 within my current city) and this coming may/june i will make it to place number 5. though i dread the actual move (you know the stress of packing, moving, unpacking) i love decorating my new space. finding new places for my old treasures. i can't wait to share it all with you. and being a planner, it's natural for me with 4 months to go to begin the apartment hunt.
to kick things off, i wanted to share my new potential floorplan. this is for apartment choice #1. (there are no other choices right now... so i hope it works out!)
walk in closet = a must. i love fashion and have an enormous amount of clothing, shoes, accessories. i would be living in denial if i thought i didn't need a walk-in-closet. (oh and did you see the huge closet right when you walk in the door? perfect for coats, boots, winter accessories, etc.)
my second most important feature is washer and dryer in unit. again, i am too busy to worry about leaving my laundry in the dryer and someone coming and plopping it on the top. i have had a washer/dryer in unit for my past two places... i love it and i can't go back now.
this one has both plus more (bathtub? check. big kitchen plus room for a dining table? check. balcony? check.) now i just need to visit it in person and see if their timing matches up with mine! and hopefully, it works out where i can stay for more than a year ;)
oh yea - and i wanted to share my first potential new home purchase:
it's the le poeme indoor/outdoor rug from ballard designs.
i think it would be the perfect piece to go with milo and cleo. don't you think?
what characteristics are on your home dream list?
until next time,
S
Oh how exciting! I like the floor plan, looks good, and yay walk in closet! My fiance and I are currently looking for a place right now, but since I am not with him at the moment, it is more he is looking. Not so much dream home, but what I want are hardwood (or laminate) floors, a walk in closet in the master bedroom, and a fire place in the living room. We also want a two or three bedroom. He wants modern lines, and a dedicated parking spot not on the street.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I think walk in closet, some sort of outdoor space, washer/dryer, and parking spot are so key! Some people say it's important to have a dishwasher, but I would rather have a washer/dryer. Good luck, I hope everything works out!
ReplyDeletei am excited, but it will be hard for me to move. i really like my current apartment. i am moments away from work, have a washer/dryer, walk in closet, dishwasher, and heated garage parking. moving from living with a roommate to without is hard to find the same type of place for the same price! i have definitely compromised on location to save money, but the rest seems to be good. i can't wait to share more photos of the whole process... actual move in May.
ReplyDeletelisa - that makes me wonder about this dishwasher! i thought this place had one, but on second look, maybe it doesn't! hmm...
