anthropologie emerging leaves dress fitting review

i popped into anthropologie and wanted to share the emerging leaves dress with you. now this one did not appeal to me online at all, but in store, the shape looked like it would fit well.




































sorry about the blur. my camera had a hard time focusing on the print! i am wearing a 6 here and it was a bit tight in the bust, so i would most likely need to go up to my usual size 8. otherwise, i think it fits 1 size smaller than usual and most will probably be able to size down.

 

overall, i loved the fit. there were darling little pockets on the front. i hope this one comes out in some additional prints or colors! until then, i created some polyvore sets to get your imagination started. i tried to stay away from some of the more obvious pairings for this dress. let's get started, shall we?

the dress seems more casual, so i thought it would be fun to try to make it more glamorous:

the second option is more casual, but something that could be worn out to dinner or on a date:

the last option would be perfect for a wedding. i love this belt with the dress. i think it would look amazing. add a luxurious clutch and comfortable wedges - you'd be all set for a night full of dancing:

    I tried this dress on for the first time tonight and bought it instantly. I can't wait to put this one in rotation because it is very comfortable.

    fallonroxann - ooh! so fun! i feel like this dress is flying under the radar right now, but i definitely agree that it could instantly become a rotation staple. i just loved the little pockets!

    I think that dress looks adorable on you, and who doesn't love a dress with pockets. The print looks like it could go with a lot of things too, pretty versatile.

    Oooohhh. I really like the print on this dress. I like how it can be styled for a wedding. I might have to try this dress on soon. It makes me yearn for spring/summer even more!

    jess - thank you! i am just not sure it's quite my personality, so i do hope they come out with some other versions. as is though, i agree - it would be pretty versatile. certainly worth trying on.

    sweet laundry - i am craving some spring! (if only for daylight!) i just found out a friend is having a wedding in February, so something to wear has been on my mind. i think i will be shopping from the closet. i never get to wear the party dresses i have!
