anthropologie tuileries dress fitting review and styling options

by now you have probably seen the tuileries dress by moulinette soeurs on molly, but i spotted it at anthropologie during the weekend and fell in love. what are tuileries? so glad you asked. wiki knew the answer, "The Tuileries Garden (French: Jardin des Tuileries, IPA: [ʒaʁdɛ̃ de tɥilʁi]) is a public garden located between the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Created by Catherine de Medicis as the garden of the Tuileries Palace in 1564, it was first opened to the public in 1667, and became a public park after the French Revolution. In the 19th and 20th century, it was the place where Parisians celebrated, met, promenaded, and relaxed." ahhh. there you have it. figures something so lovely would be inspired from france. (and i just realized that i have actually been to those gardens too!)

i tried on a size 6 and it fit perfectly, so it might run a bit big? i am usually between a 6-8-10.

pretty little flowers. pretty cursive writing. totally could wear to work... love.

it is just lovely. it is on the tip top of my wishlist. the sunny soiree dress by girls from savory just got moved to #2. i just hope it can hold on until my 30x30 is up! eeeeeeek! (and with my 30x30 logic... it is a dress. i love dresses and i wear dresses way more than other items. even in the 30x30!)

and you know when i am inspired, i just had to do some styling options for the dress.

option #2 plays up the black in the dress:

Tuileries Dress - Anthropologie.com
$148 - anthropologie.com

Oui Necklace - Anthropologie.com
$68 - anthropologie.com

option #3 has fun yellow wedges and a couple of older anthro pieces:

Anthropologie - From-The-Green Cardi
$129 - reviews.anthropologie.com
Green cardigan »

Lemon Stick Wedges
$148 - anthropologie.com
Wedge heels »

Tuileries Dress - Anthropologie.com
$148 - anthropologie.com

midas braid belt - anthropologie.com
anthropologieaddict.blogspot.com
Braided belt »

for option #4, i would take off the black sash and keep the cardi buttoned with a cute pink belt over it. then, it would be all girly from there.

option #5 takes away the belt again and goes for some neutrals:

Enamel Flower Earrings
7.50 GBP - missselfridge.com
Enamel jewelry »

Tuileries Dress - Anthropologie.com
$148 - anthropologie.com

Spectator Espadrilles
$138 - anthropologie.com

anthropologie tea rose belt in orange
thedelightfulfind.blogspot.com

lastly, option #6 uses red as the accent color:

Scarlet & Crimson Wedges
$80 - anthropologie.com
High heels »

Anthropologie - Green Thumb Belt

Belts »

Tuileries Dress - Anthropologie.com
$148 - anthropologie.com

until next time,

  1. I love this dress! It is at the top of my wishlist, pending a try-on session:) Thanks for all of the styling options! I really like it with the blooming lattice cardgina. I have the green version which I think would work well too.

  5. kristin - i love it too. i think because of all the colors in the dress, it would work with practically anything... which makes it a pragmatic choice for sure! :)

molly - it is perfect! i love it on you too! let me tell you... i have plotted my evening for March 2nd/3rd (when 30x30 is done!) to consist of anthropologie, anthropologie, anthropologie. :)

carly - thanks!! haha. if i didn't have the 30x30 holding me back... it would be mine already. but i have a feeling it will make it a few weeks without selling out. be strong!!
